I am on the bag at Carnoustie most days through the season, so email is the way to reach me. If you are in the United States and you write in your morning, you will usually have an answer waiting when you get up the next day. Scotland is five hours ahead of New York and eight ahead of California.
Books and orders
Ordered a signed copy? Email me with the name on the order and I will tell you where it is.
Everything ships from Scotland by Royal Mail. To the United States that is usually 7 to 14 working days, tracked or standard. If it has been longer than that, tell me and I will chase it from this end rather than leaving you to.
If you want a book signed to somebody in particular and forgot to say so at the checkout, email me before it goes out and I will do it. Returns and refunds are set out on the Refund and Returns Policy page, and you are welcome to just email me instead.

I am a working caddie at Carnoustie Championship Links, on the bag since 1998, and I have written two books about it. Bunkered, the Gritmen Show and From the Short Grass are all on the Press page if you want to hear how I come across before you commit.
What I can give you:
- An interview, by phone, video or email. American outlets and podcasts, the time difference is my problem and not yours. I will work around your schedule.
- Quotes on Carnoustie. The course, the Opens, the green fees, what visitors get wrong, and the caddie’s side of anything you are writing about.
- A review copy of either book.
- Photographs of the course and of me, in high resolution, free to use with a credit.

If you make something caddies and golfers actually use, I am interested in talking.
Fair warning, and it is the point rather than a problem: I write honestly about gear. If it is good I will say so, and if it is not I will say that too. That is the only reason anybody listens to a recommendation from a caddie. If that suits you, get in touch.
