Every book sold here is signed and posted by me from Carnoustie, one parcel at a time. If something arrives damaged, or does not arrive at all, tell me and I will put it right. If you simply change your mind, you have 14 days.
Changing your mind
You have 14 days from the day your order arrives to tell me you want to cancel, and a further 14 days to get it back to me. Email thecarnoustiecaddie@gmail.com and I will confirm the return address.
Send it back in the condition it arrived in. Return postage is yours to pay, and I would use a tracked service, because until it reaches me it is still your parcel. Once it arrives I will refund the price of the book and the basic postage you paid, within 14 days, to the card you used.
Inscribed copies
A book inscribed to a name, a date or a message is made to your specification, so the 14 day cancellation right does not apply to it under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. That is the law. Here is what I actually do: if an inscribed book turns up and it is not what you asked for, or I have spelt a name wrong, send me a photo and I will sign a fresh copy and post it at my own cost.
Damaged or faulty
Send a photo to thecarnoustiecaddie@gmail.com within a few days of it arriving. I will send a replacement or refund you in full including postage, and you will not be asked to send the damaged one back unless I ask for it. None of this affects your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Parcels that have not turned up
Royal Mail asks for a little patience before a parcel counts as lost:
- UK: 10 working days from posting
- Europe: 20 working days
- Rest of the world: 25 working days
Once you are past that, email me and I will either send it again or refund you, whichever you prefer. Every order leaves here with tracking or a certificate of posting, so I can chase it properly rather than guess.
Digital downloads
Downloads are delivered straight away, so once the download has started the order cannot be cancelled. You will be asked to agree to that at checkout. If a file will not open, or the wrong one lands, email me and I will sort it.
Anything else
